Her Interview
Ten minutes with Marisol
01What do you attribute your success to?
Definitely my children. Being successful and leading by example. Without my kids I wouldn't be where I'm at now, and always having to push for better.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Learn as much as you can, and be open to criticism. Don't give up. Never stop. But listen, and learn, and take criticism to build yourself into success. Because we're only human, we don't have everything together. Sometimes you have to hear that criticism to build you into success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always be confident in everything you do. Everything you do. Have that confidence.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In retail, retail's tough, especially more so now with the increases of costs, and everything's so expensive. It puts strain on people right now. Some companies like Harbor Freight have had reduction in hours, where the workload is so much and we have less people. Keeping that positivity to let the team know we still can do it. But it is challenging when we don't have labor hours to help the workload part.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The biggest thing is trust. Trust and being honest, and doing the right thing when no one's looking at all times.
