Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a deep passion for uplifting others, which has always been both my purpose and my driving force. As a first-generation college graduate, my own educational journey opened doors to new possibilities and instilled in me a strong commitment to service, beginning with my early sorority involvement and a transformative internship experience. Over the past 15 years, I have channeled that commitment into meaningful social work—first within the broader community and later in an elementary school—finding profound fulfillment in creating tangible, positive change.

Today, as the Associate Director of Accessibility and Support Services at Rider University, I am dedicated to ensuring that every student has the tools and support they need to thrive. I advocate fiercely for their success, knowing that providing opportunities for others requires me to care for myself as well. Maintaining a steadfast support system and prioritizing self-care through fitness and wellness allows me to remain energized and effective. This balance is what enables me to continue making a lasting, meaningful difference—one life at a time.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is to always choose career paths that support your growth and align with your purpose. I have learned that staying curious, seeking new challenges, and believing in your ability to evolve are essential to long-term success. Every new opportunity has taught me to trust my voice, advocate for myself, and step confidently into roles that stretch my skills. This mindset guides my career and continues to inspire me to pursue meaningful work that allows me to grow both personally and professionally.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice for young women entering this industry is to trust your voice, even when you are the newest person in the room. Lead with curiosity, ask questions, and never downplay your strengths. Build relationships with people who inspire you, stay open to feedback, and advocate for yourself even when it feels uncomfortable. Growth comes from stretching beyond what feels familiar, so embrace opportunities that challenge you. Most importantly, remember that you deserve a seat at every table you walk into because your perspective is valuable and your presence matters.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values to me in both my work and personal life are service, integrity, balance, and faith. I am deeply committed to uplifting others and making a meaningful impact, and I ground everything I do in my relationship with God. My faith guides my decisions, strengthens my purpose, and keeps me centered as I grow personally and professionally. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active at the gym, traveling, and exploring new experiences. I love spending quality time with my husband, especially watching basketball and football, and discovering new ways to challenge myself while embracing all of life’s adventures with gratitude.
