Her Interview

Ten minutes with Marly

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to determination, perseverance, and a genuine passion for helping people. Nearly three decades in the global relocation and logistics industry have taught me the importance of building strong relationships, maintaining high standards, and putting clients first. I believe in taking risks, embracing new challenges, and continuously growing. Starting my own company, A2Z Move Management LLC, allowed me to turn my experience into a more personalized service built on trust, accountability, and genuine care.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received came from women who encouraged me to believe in myself and take the risk of starting my own business. Seeing women like Patricia Hill and Deanna Estupignan leave corporate careers to build successful companies inspired me to pursue my own entrepreneurial journey. Their experiences taught me that with courage, determination, and self-confidence, it is possible to create your own opportunities and succeed.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to believe in themselves and consider building something of their own. Don't spend years working for a company where you feel like just another number. Take the leap, start your own business, and invest your energy in something that belongs to you. Even when challenges arise, you are building your own future and creating something meaningful. I encourage women to take that chance because we are capable of achieving great things.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in this industry is recognizing that there is room for everyone to succeed. Starting your own company doesn't mean taking business away from someone else; it creates more opportunities for everyone. Although competition and jealousy can sometimes arise, I focus on the people who believe in me and recognize the strong reputation I have built over 26 years. This is also a predominantly male industry, with approximately 70% men and 30% women. The women who succeed in this field are incredibly strong, resilient, and determined.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are accountability, honesty, and reliability. No matter what happens in life or business, you have to show up, face challenges, and take responsibility for your actions. If a mistake happens, acknowledge it, communicate openly, and focus on finding a solution rather than avoiding the problem. I also believe strongly in following through on commitments. If you say you are going to do something, do it, and never procrastinate or leave others waiting.
