Marta Brankovich
Marta Brankovich is an internationally acclaimed Serbian-born pianist, recording artist, and performer based in Miami, Florida. Known as the “Black Swan of Piano” by the Miami Herald and celebrated as “A New Force of American Pianism” by the Chicago Tribune, Marta has captivated audiences worldwide with her dynamic artistry and magnetic stage presence. After making her concerto debut in Chicago in 2005, she quickly rose to prominence, performing across Europe and the United States and earning top prizes in international piano competitions, including two Global Music Awards.
A graduate of Florida International University, where she completed her second master’s degree in piano performance under the mentorship of concert pianist Kemal Gekić, Marta has since recorded for radio and television networks across Serbia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and the U.S. In 2017, she signed with PARMA and Navona Records, releasing Black Swan of Piano — her debut album that showcased 20th and 21st-century composers alongside her own compositions. Her 2023 follow-up album, Marta, The Tempest, cemented her place among the top 20 piano influencers in the country, blending classical mastery with modern expression.
Today, Marta continues to push creative boundaries as one half of Carpe Noctem, a duet with rock artist Denver Cooper. Their performances — a fusion of classical piano and electric guitar — have earned national attention, including features in New York’s Times Square. Beyond the stage, Marta is a passionate advocate for women in music through the International Alliance for Women in Music, using her platform to inspire the next generation of artists and redefine what it means to be a modern pianist.
