Her Story
About Martina
I've been working in EA and HR for 5 years, starting as a personal assistant to ultra-high network families before becoming an executive assistant at tech startups including Nimble Robotics, Fiddler AI, IGEL Technology, and Row Space AI, supporting founders from companies like Notion, Google, and Samsung. My expertise is in executive assistance and workplace experience, curating welcoming work environments for in-person, hybrid, and remote workers. A typical day involves waking up to hundreds of emails, prioritizing what needs immediate attention, and using tools like Notion AI, Google Calendar, and Claude to create to-do lists and trackers like immigration trackers for visas. I make sure the office is welcoming by restocking snacks, cleaning up desks, and doing walkthroughs to ensure people feel they can stay all day and that it's better than their home to work in. I have strong check-ins with the executives I support to take things off their hands and be proactive about helping the company, even reaching out to recruiting and HR to ask what I can do to support them. My most notable achievement has been helping companies grow from 20 to 40 to 60 people, finding offices that suit their long-term needs, and creating policies to work with rapid growth.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to over-communicate and to ask questions, even if you feel like it's silly. People are more willing to help than you think, so never make an assumption and just ask instead. This advice has really shaped how I approach my work, because I've learned that reaching out and being proactive in communication is so much better than making assumptions that could lead to mistakes.
