I am a client advisor at Neiman Marcus in Orlando, where I dress people for a living. I've been in the fashion field for over 25 years because I've always loved fashion. I work with both men and women, and I have to be very flexible in both genders and in a family-oriented environment. When I obtain a client, if it's a male client, I need to assist them, so I have to know what I'm doing very well and have a good sense of reading people. If that client wants me to choose something for his wife or daughter, then I have to assist them with that as well. I'm currently going for business management two months from now, and I think I'll stay in fashion because it would be hard to leave at this point.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to Jesus first and foremost. What pushes me is myself, my family, and seeing other people succeed. As a young woman, I had the opportunity to actually see what the system offers to young women growing, and it's just very disappointing at one point because they're not getting any help at all. So that pushes me to understand better that particular system. I'm more focused on our younger generations and helping them succeed.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
First of all, they have to be confident. They have to have self-confidence, self-love and self-worth in order for them to establish themselves anywhere, because everywhere you go can be very intimidating.
