Ten minutes with Maru
01What do you attribute your success to?
I have always trusted myself, even when things don't go the way I want. Curiosity has helped me not only learning, but staying aware of situations and gaining better perspective. Discipline and consistency are very important, along with believing in yourself. When juggling multiple priorities, staying focused on the three main things helps move forward successfully.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never say no. Always keep going, stay strong, get ready for changes, train yourself in new technologies, ask questions all the time at work and outside of work, do networking with leaders or people who inspire you in your industry. Understand that sometimes it's just a redirection of where you need to go.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity, integrity, respect, treating others with dignity and listening, evaluating differences, responsibility, owning your commitments, and gratitude - recognizing what you have and what other people who support you provide instead of only focusing on what's missing.
