Mary Blake, MPH, CRA, is an accomplished clinical trials expert, public health leader, and adjunct professor of occupational health at Tarrant County College. With extensive experience in managing complex clinical trial operations at ICON Pharmaceuticals, she oversees every phase from protocol development to study closeout, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance across multi-stakeholder projects. Mary combines her academic rigor with hands-on expertise in data analytics, regulatory oversight, and project management to consistently deliver impactful results in healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
As the founder of Cambridge Global Ventures Inc and a published researcher, Mary has contributed to critical global health initiatives, including efforts to eradicate neglected tropical diseases. Her work has earned recognition through awards such as the 40 Under 40 Visionaries Award and has been featured in prominent publications. She has also shared her expertise at international STEM conferences, in medical philanthropic work in Tanzania, and through her public speaking engagements, emphasizing health equity, policy, and innovation in clinical research.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: never give up. Stay committed to your goals, trust your abilities, and keep pushing forward even when challenges arise. Persistence and resilience are key to making a meaningful impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, joy, and connection. I prioritize staying active through Zumba, spending quality time with my dog, and taking trips with friends to recharge and create meaningful experiences.
