I am also grateful for the mentors, colleagues, and students who have shaped my perspective and inspired me to continue making a meaningful impact in nursing education.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is that no meaningful journey is taken alone. I’ve learned to value the guidance, support, and wisdom of the people who have helped shape my career. Their encouragement has reminded me to stay open to learning, build meaningful relationships, and never be afraid to ask for help along the way.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering nursing education is to stay curious, keep learning, and remain open to unexpected opportunities. Build strong relationships, seek mentors, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Every experience can help you grow and shape a meaningful career.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in nursing today is balancing demanding workloads, staffing pressures, and the emotional and physical demands of caring for critically ill patients. At the same time, I see opportunities to strengthen nursing education, support healthcare professionals, and prepare future nurses to provide compassionate, high-quality care.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are curiosity, compassion, integrity, and a commitment to lifelong learning. I believe becoming a great nurse starts with a genuine desire to learn and grow.
