About Mary
Mary Dean serves as the National and Business Development Manager at Tech Plus in Salt Lake City, Utah. With about 7 years in the staffing industry, she supports nationwide electrical and low voltage technician needs for data centers, infrastructures, hospitals, and other mission critical facilities by connecting clients with qualified workers. In addition to her role at Tech Plus, Dean recently launched her own LLC, MD Critical Solutions, to offer business development and consulting services to multiple companies. She began her professional journey in nursing, earning her degree from Salt Lake City Community College and working in the coronary ICU at Intermountain Medical Center as part of the Code Blue team. Dean transitioned into staffing after meeting an agency owner through an Airbnb rental, taking a commission-only business developer position that quickly proved more lucrative. She credits mentors and relationships for shaping her career and aims to grow her LLC to serve at least three main clients while continuing to build credibility in the data center ecosystem. Her notable achievements include starting her LLC and generating over 3 million dollars in business sales.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When someone is looking for information from you, give them everything they need so that they don't have to keep asking you for questions. Give it to them the first time. If you can anticipate what they're gonna be looking for, if you can lay out all that information ahead of time, it makes you ahead of the position.
