Her Interview

Ten minutes with Mary

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience and thriving in chaos. My life has been chaos and there was no option. As soon as I had my first kid something switched because this kid depends on you. My kids have been my saving grace and pushed me because they gave me a purpose.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received is not to be a statistic. A friend told me that after my husband beat me up and that day changed my life.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't give up. Tomorrow's a new day. You can always change tomorrow too. So many people get stuck in ruts and think they have to be like this but you can change if you want to.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and accountability are huge values for me.
