What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay positive and motivated, always strive for excellence, and be authentically yourself.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is helping individuals and families understand and cope with health issues, particularly memory loss and Alzheimer’s. Advances in knowledge now allow practitioners to focus on prevention and risk reduction, creating a vital opportunity to educate caregivers and improve outcomes for the community.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are staying true to myself, being open and honest, and continually learning, while using my skills to help others and support caregivers. I believe in human potential at all ages and approach decisions with clarity, analysis, and a focus on meaningful impact.
