My lives are made up of what we've heard and believed. I just happen to believe truth, and lies didn't have control or authority over me. If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I've loved the people I've worked for, for the most part. I've loved everything I do. It's always a new adventure. God has blessed us richly. It's been a very good career, and now I'm ready to pass it on. God's been providing all the way, and so He's got this vision. The problem is, people are lost, they don't have their identity, they don't understand who they are. Without understanding who He is and who He created you to be, you can never live or measure up to what you were created to be. Our lives are made up of what we've heard and believed. I happen to believe truth, and that's what has made the difference.

If you're a startup interior designer right now, I can tell you this, that having done this 43 years ago, I could be a startup with some clients who said, hey, we'll put up the money if you put up the expertise, and that's how I started my company, as clients believed in me. Now, to do a startup design studio, like what I've got, a selection center, I've got a $5 million facility that they can't even start one for $500,000 or a half million. The problem is, in the building industry, the builders don't know it all. Of course, they don't think they don't, but they don't. And the architects only bring it to structure, so they're thinking of it structurally, a very important part. But designers figure out how people want to live in it and what they want in it in order to function, entertain, enjoy their family, use it to build life around. The problem is, there's not a central clearinghouse that says, here's the team of people that will help you produce that. If they're house builders, they're building a house. Great, people need a house to live in, but that's only the start. It doesn't become a home until you put the rest of it together.

The truth will set you free. Our lives are made up of what we've heard and believed. A lot of people have believed tons of lies. You gotta start believing the truth in order to get yourself free. It takes that spiritual component in order to break free of the physical, emotional, and mental challenges. Helping people understand their identity, who they were created to be according to the Word - behold, I know the plans and the purposes I have for you, plans for a hope and a future. The saints overcome by the blood of the Lamb, everything Jesus did for us, and the word of their testimony, whatever He's done in and through us. When we start using that and paying it forward, giving others hope, that's what really brings us to victory. See who the Son sets free is free indeed. If you receive the truth and learn this isn't who God created me to be, this is what God created me to be, this is my identity - without understanding who He is and who He created you to be, you can never live or measure up to what you were created to be.
