Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Being a role model for my children means leading by example—demonstrating integrity, resilience, and purpose in every aspect of my life and career. I strive to embody the values of hard work, accountability, and compassion so they can see what it means to pursue excellence while staying true to one’s principles. Through my actions, I aim to show them that success is built on character, consistency, and courage, empowering them to believe in themselves and to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my parents, who always told me that I could do whatever I wanted in life—as long as I was willing to put in the time and effort. That simple message taught me the value of perseverance, discipline, and self-belief. It’s a reminder that success isn’t about instant results, but about consistent effort, learning from challenges, and never giving up on what you truly want to achieve

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find those mentors who truly inspire you—and listen closely and watch intently. Learn not just from their words but from their actions, their decision-making, and how they lead through challenges. In any industry, success is as much about observation and adaptability as it is about skill. Surround yourself with people who challenge and elevate you, and never stop being curious enough to grow beyond what you thought possible.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is the quiet bias that still exists—where friendships and familiarity often outweigh merit and performance. As a Spanish female, I’ve seen how difficult it can be to break into certain circles or be recognized equally when opportunities are too often shared among friends rather than earned through results. It’s discouraging to see talented, hardworking individuals overlooked because they don’t fit into a certain network. The challenge—and reality—is that progress requires more than policies; it requires courage from leaders to hold everyone accountable to fairness, inclusion, and integrity, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are family, personal growth, and cherishing meaningful moments—whether that’s spending time with my children and granddaughter, enjoying walks with my pup, traveling, or investing in my own development.
