MaryBeth McCaffrey is an art director in television and film production with about 25 years of experience. She began her career working on psychotropic drug trials for Pfizer and Lilly in a psychiatric hospital setting before transitioning into commercials and television after a friend introduced her to production work. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, which she credits with helping her understand personalities in business settings. McCaffrey has served as art director on projects including Fight Night and a Lifetime movie called the Martha Corrella story, and she is currently art directing a show about Death Row Records and Dr. Dre. Her responsibilities include overseeing construction departments, set designers, and graphic designers to create sets and cleared original artwork, often working long hours as a hands-on problem solver on union jobs.
