01What do you attribute your success to?
My integrity and the knowledge of the market. Being able to navigate around different cities and communities and being involved in the different activities so that you know what each community offers.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Stick with it, and treat everybody how you want to be treated, The Golden Rule. Keep abreast of the changes in the market, in financing , in building codes, road construction and developments, cultural events and school ratings in different areas.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take control of your time so that it doesn't overwhelm. Follow thru and give it a good 6 months to get going. Have 6 to 9 months of savings because we don't get paid until something closes. Have a sphere of influence, build long lasting relationships. Review your business plan so it works for you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
When there are lulls or it's slow, rates jump up, we go to war, the public fears or waits to to buy or sell. Stay abreast of what is going on in your market and around the world. Think about creative financing or negotiate skills, think outside the box to make it a win win for all.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, good communication, sense of humor, organized days with flexible , kindness and a balance in your daily lives.
