Her Story

About Maryna

Maryna Hage has been working in early childhood education since 2010. She is currently a lead teacher, focusing on pre-K children and incorporating STEM projects and healthy lifestyle topics such as creating fruit salads into the curriculum. She previously served as assistant director at Global Children's School, where she enjoyed administrative work including managing children's files and supporting teachers in taking classes to grow professionally. Maryna holds certifications as Director 1 and Director 2 in early childhood education. Her path began with engineering studies at an academy in Ukraine. After arriving in the United States in 2017 and taking ESL classes, she transitioned into early childhood education. She attributes her success to working hard, studying, believing in a beautiful future, and waking up in a good mood each day. The best career advice she received came from her supervisor Sandra Garofana at Global Children's School, who encouraged her to pursue administrative roles and guided her through the certification classes.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Maryna

01What do you attribute your success to?

Work hard, study. And believe in a beautiful future, wake up in a good mood, and done.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My supervisor Sandra Garofana at Global Children's School called me to her office and said she saw me as part of the admin team, not on the floor. She encouraged me to start taking classes and guided me step-by-step to reach Certificate Director 1 and Director 2, helping with applications and homework.
