Maxine Hartley
Maxine H. is a Senior Program Manager of Real Estate Execution at Sam’s Club, where she leads strategic initiatives that impact store development and operational excellence across the country. With over a decade of experience in project management, procurement, and sourcing—primarily within the Walmart and Sam’s Club ecosystem—Maxine has earned a reputation for driving efficiency and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Her career has included key leadership roles such as Senior Manager of Procurement and Sourcing Execution Manager, where she helped optimize processes and manage multimillion-dollar projects.
A proud graduate of the University of Arkansas, Maxine holds both a Master of Science in Operations Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. She is a passionate advocate for women in engineering and leadership, having been actively involved in organizations such as Phi Sigma Rho and the Society of Women Engineers. Known for her strong work ethic, curiosity, and commitment to mentoring others, Maxine thrives on connecting with diverse teams and learning from global perspectives—especially during Walmart’s international Associates Week, one of her favorite times of the year.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents. They came to the US to create a better life me their children. Watching them work hard to make a life for us inspired me to push how far I could go.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never stop being curious, ask questions and seek to understand.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t be afraid to go for whatever it is you want in life. You will be surprised what doors open for you when you make your intentions and goals known.
