Her Story

About May

May Anderson is a professional engineer and mother of three whose career spans engineering and health and wellness. She currently serves as director of product for a wellness tech company specializing in hydrogen inhalation machines, where her work centers on molecular hydrogen education and helping people apply complex information to improve their lives. She also owns and oversees a home-based daycare, which she operates with hired staff to support working families. In 2017, she founded the Working Moms Connection nonprofit to address challenges faced by working mothers, building an online community that grew to nearly 60,000 members. Earlier in her career, Anderson spent ten years as an engineer at the Utah Department of Transportation after obtaining her professional engineering license. She holds an integrated engineering degree that covered electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering and previously worked for two years at Metalcraft on aerospace manufacturing projects before transitioning to civil engineering to remain in rural Utah. Anderson attributes her ability to manage multiple roles to strong support systems and effective delegation.

Dream big and work hard. ... pick something that you really are passionate about, and you can build that resilience and grit... decide why your work is meaningful.

Be hardworking, work hard for the things that you really care about. Lead your life with integrity and honesty. ... be compassionate to other people... connection, compassion and growth.
