Maya McMillian

Maya McMillian studied communications as an undergraduate at the University of Texas at San Antonio, switching her major from business early in her college career after learning more about the field and its creative aspects including digital media, graphic design, and website management. She pursued graduate studies in student affairs following her experience working in housing for two and a half years at UTSA, which sparked her interest in supporting students. After completing her graduate program and spending about a year in student affairs post-graduation, she returned to her passion for communications while entering the healthcare space at UNT Health, where she was promoted after four months to her current position that blends communications and student affairs through storytelling, graduate program marketing, and student/alumni engagement.
