Her Interview
Ten minutes with Mayanka
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my fantastic support system and growing up in a very grounded, simple family life that focused on ethics, core values, respect, and love. That was the foundation of my confidence and fearlessness in the world, making decisions, failing but being able to get up again because I have that support.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay obsessed with what they're doing. It will ground you in the best way possible. Passion can only take you so far, but being obsessed really helps you understand a little bit more about yourself, which is important to make the right decisions when it comes to your professional growth and also life decisions.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
We're always going to need people to connect, to socialize with, to break bread over. Hospitality is very personal, it's an emotional-driven experience. No matter where AI goes or technology takes the world, you're always going to need that touch, that human touch. Food and beverage and hospitality have a very bright road ahead.
