Mayra Camacho Cummings

I am a dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in higher education and K–12 instruction.

At Paris Junior College, I teach Spanish full-time and Sociology part-time, focusing on student learning outcomes, retention, and engagement. I develop collaborative, active learning experiences and integrate technology to support diverse learning styles and promote student success.

My earlier career included teaching and leadership roles with Yantis ISD and Mt. Pleasant High School, where I taught Spanish, directed ESL programs, and coached girls’ JV soccer.

I am passionate about curriculum development, instructional innovation, and creating inclusive learning environments that empower students to achieve their academic and personal goals.
