Her Interview
Ten minutes with Mazzie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to persistence, adaptability, and a strong focus on relationship-building throughout my career. I’ve learned to trust my intuition, stay curious, and continuously learn, which has helped me navigate complex environments and grow in every role I’ve taken on.
At the core of my success is my belief in building genuine, long-term relationships rather than focusing only on short-term outcomes. Consistency, integrity, and follow-through have helped me earn trust with clients and colleagues and create lasting partnerships.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentors Quinn Fulk and Brock Leon, who consistently encouraged me to trust my instincts, stay consistent, and focus on building strong relationships over chasing quick wins. Their guidance and industry insight helped shape how I approach business development, client partnerships, and long-term career growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say women have a gift of intuition, especially in a sales role or industries that I've been in. They've all been incredibly male-dominated - I've been one of the few females on every single sales team in my career. So I would say trust your intuition in business, and recognize that that is a strength in these types of roles. Don't second guess yourself, and trust that intuition. It's something that has served me well throughout my career, even when I was surrounded by men in every role I've had.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in technology and fintech right now is keeping up with the rapid pace of change—whether that’s evolving platforms, shifting customer expectations, or new ways data is being used in decision-making. It requires constant learning and agility just to stay ahead of the curve.
At the same time, this creates a major opportunity for professionals who can build authentic relationships, deeply understand client needs, and translate complex solutions into real business value. Those who stay adaptable and people-focused are best positioned to thrive as the industry continues to evolve.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, integrity, trust, and continuous growth. I believe success is built through genuine relationships, transparency, and a commitment to helping others thrive alongside me.
Outside of work, I also value balance, wellness, and curiosity—whether that’s through fitness, time outdoors, travel, or staying connected to other cultures and languages like French. My passion for animal rescue is also a big part of who I am and reflects my belief in compassion and responsibility beyond the workplace.
