About McKenzie
McKenzie Edgar, CPM®, is a seasoned commercial real estate professional with 28 years of experience in property management, leasing, and project management across both the public and private sectors. As Senior Property Manager at Lincoln Property Company CRE, she manages approximately 3.4 million square feet of Class A industrial properties throughout the greater Houston area. Her extensive portfolio experience also includes high-rise office, medical, flex, retail, government, air cargo, and rail properties.
Throughout her career, McKenzie has developed expertise in landlord representation, tenant relations, leasing transactions, property operations, project management, budgeting, and development. Before joining Lincoln Property Company, she held property management and leasing roles with CBRE, Moody Rambin Interests, Port San Antonio, and G Property Management. A graduate of Trinity University with a Bachelor of Arts, she holds a Texas Real Estate Salesperson license and the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation. She has also been actively involved with professional organizations including IREM, BOMA, CCIM, CREW, USGBC, and IFMA, and previously served on the CREW-San Antonio Board of Directors.
McKenzie credits her success to genuinely enjoying her work, embracing challenges, and never limiting herself to a narrowly defined role. She encourages young women entering commercial real estate to explore opportunities in property management, leasing, construction, and project management rather than pigeonholing themselves. Beyond her career, she is actively involved in her church, participates in several book clubs, enjoys walking and spending time in nature, and pursues her passion for art through painting and printmaking. She also supports community organizations including North Assistance Ministries and other charitable initiatives.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to genuinely loving what I do, working with a strong and collaborative team, and being willing to go beyond what is expected. My career in commercial real estate was unexpected, but I embraced the opportunity, worked hard, stayed humble, and focused on contributing to the team’s success.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering commercial real estate is to recognize the many opportunities available and never limit yourself to one path. Whether in property management, leasing, development, or construction, there is tremendous room to grow. Be willing to explore, take on new challenges, and never pigeonhole yourself.
