Her Story

About Meagan

I started in my field in December 2011 and have focused on client services roles throughout my career. I love cultivating relationships with clients and internal teams. My new role as Senior Client Success Manager at 2X started at the end of April and involves strategizing, retaining and growing business, with early mornings due to APAC teams and afternoons on internal calls and client presentations including AI integration. I graduated SUNY Cortland in three and a half years with a communications degree concentrating in public relations and advertising.

Ten minutes with Meagan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my support system and the beliefs that I have in myself. Having confidence that I can accomplish things and having that support system rally me on helps when I start to doubt myself.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Create a network, find people that you trust, and rely on that network for advice, for guidance, and to bounce ideas off of. I still keep in touch with old bosses and mentors on almost a weekly basis.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Talk to everyone. Don't say no to anything. Sit in on a meeting, ask questions, listen to a recording. Set up one-on-ones with people that you feel would mirror a trajectory that you wish to mirror. Ask questions. Learn what you can from those who have walked the path before.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is that technology is moving at a million miles a minute. It's trying to keep up with everything new each week while still keeping the core basics front of mind.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty and integrity are most important. If you're fake, people can tell. Approach things with humor and a little levity. We're not curing cancer so take things with a grain of salt and do the best job you can.
