Megan Lottman is a creative director, producer, and photographer who has been in the creative industry since about 2010. She currently operates Green Gem Studios, focusing on media production, experiences, photography, and creative collaborations in hospitality, culture, design, and human behavior. Previously, she ran her own event planning company, Always an Adventure, in Lake Tahoe for about two years, worked in events at Granlibakken Tahoe, and spent time in event production at Viewpoint School. She holds a media communications certificate from Full Sail University, along with certifications in event planning, wedding planning, and project management, and is an ordained minister. Her strengths include visual storytelling, project coordination, event management, and vendor and client relations.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trusting yourself, not comparing yourself, trying to make something unique and original. Focus on making connections, networking, exploring all kinds of different opportunities, even if it doesn't seem like it might lead to anything, to take small chances on yourself. And that momentum builds, so every little piece, every little step that you take puts you on the path a little bit further, and then one day you wake up and you are somewhere that you couldn't even imagine.
