Her Story

About Meg

I've been in the field for about 20 years. Currently I own The Hive Therapy and Wellness Boutique where I provide individual psychotherapy for adults focusing on trauma and body-based nervous system regulation for high-achieving people wanting to build emotional intelligence and break old patterns. During COVID I started building community events including groups and sound baths with wellness sharing components using spiritual principles like tarot to help people who may not access traditional therapy. I also have interest in psychedelic assisted therapy for trauma. I handle client sessions back to back during the day and community events in evenings at my studio.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Meg

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to staying in my truth, listening to my body and gut, trusting the process, taking action by starting right where my feet are, and keeping moving forward even when the road gets difficult. The work is meaningful and I believe if I stay authentic the road opens up in front of me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice is to keep moving forward even when it gets hard, know the work is meaningful, think about it differently, support people differently, get support and don't do it alone, ask for help.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise them to really think about what calls them to the industry, do informational interviews with people doing what they want to do, see if it feels like the right fit, and do their own personal work because the more you do your own work the more you can help others to the degree you've been helped.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Authenticity and alignment with your truth are most important. Be where your feet are, be present, stay in the moment, check in with yourself, listen to who you are and what your wants and needs are, and get support to reflect back your truth if needed.
