Megan Davis (She/Her) is a seasoned IT Project Manager with extensive experience bridging technology and business initiatives. From a young age, Megan was immersed in professional environments, learning alongside her parents and gaining early exposure to the inner workings of corporate technology. This foundation shaped her interests and guided her toward a career that combines strategic thinking, technical insight, and effective team leadership.

In her current role as Technical Project Manager at HSBC, Megan focuses on bringing structure to large, cross-functional programs, connecting stakeholders, and ensuring clarity across complex initiatives. She emphasizes transparency, alignment, and proactive risk management, enabling teams to collaborate effectively and move forward with confidence. Over the years, she has cultivated a leadership style centered on influence, consistency, and communication—empowering others to succeed while fostering a shared vision for delivery goals. Megan’s experience spans multiple sectors, including healthcare and finance, with roles at Centene Corporation, M&T Bank, and Amos Zittel & Sons, where she honed her expertise in project planning, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

A graduate of Mercyhurst University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a minor in Computer Studies, Megan has blended technical knowledge with business acumen to excel in IT project management. Outside of her professional life, she is a dedicated mother of three, an outdoor enthusiast, and a committed practitioner of yoga and mindfulness. She prioritizes mental health and work-life balance, finding that these practices enable her to lead effectively and show up fully for her teams, family, and personal growth. Megan’s passion lies in connecting people, optimizing processes, and leveraging technology to drive meaningful outcomes.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work and just keeping going. My family and friends think I'm exceptional, and while I'm trying to live up to that, it's really about getting the doubts out of your mind and believing in yourself. The more hard work you do, the more you show up, the more you try - you will get there. You will absolutely get there. I try to give myself as much grace as possible because I don't have everything down to a T. I really do lean on my teammates a lot when I don't understand things. But it's about showing up, it's that consistency, it's that communication, it's always helping others succeed, speaking up early, staying curious, and just not underestimating your value.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't wait to feel 100% ready you're never going to feel 100%. You need to step into those roles and be there, be in each meeting. Even overstep your position. It's okay to ask questions and to jump into other meetings or other environments where you're unsure. I hate to say this, but I think it's almost arrogant to say 'oh, that's not my problem' because it's not my position. To learn what the big picture is, you really need to be involved in as much as you possibly can. And don't doubt yourself. You can do this as long as you try. You can do anything.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my career right now is navigating large transformation programs, especially when moving forward with incomplete information or when there are priority shifts. I've learned that influence comes from maintaining momentum, building trust across teams, and creating clarity, even in uncertain environments.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The value I bring is creating structure and clarity in complex environments. I really focus on being with my teammates and helping others succeed. I think it's important that you have great team alignment - that's something I consider a big priority in my work.
