About Megan
Megan Ilkanayev serves as a Senior Sales Consultant at Paychex, where she partners with the bank channel district to support Huntington Bank business clients with payroll needs. She manages relationships with bankers across more than 65 Huntington branches throughout Metro Detroit, Michigan, using consultative selling to adapt her approach to each unique business owner. With five years in professional sales, Ilkanayev previously worked at Sephora, where she advanced to oversee the Sephora Collection brand and train team members on products and talk tracks. She earned a communications degree with a minor in professional sales, drawing inspiration from her mother who spent many years in pharmaceutical sales. Ilkanayev aspires to become a district sales manager and has been mentored toward leadership roles at Paychex. Her achievements include qualifying for the Platinum Club in 2026 and national recognition for leading her zone in the One Paychex HR referral initiative.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to be the squeaky wheel, especially, and to be boisterous. It's important that as women, we have to stand up and have a voice and think that we can do these things and not look at all the reasons why we shouldn't. Look at all the reasons why we can.
