Her Interview
Ten minutes with Megan
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, perseverance, and the mindset that success has always been an expectation rather than an option. Being the oldest daughter instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility, motivating me to consistently work hard, embrace challenges, and remain committed to achieving my goals.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to treat work like life. Since we spend such a significant portion of our lives working, it is important to build positive relationships with colleagues and pursue work that I genuinely enjoy. Finding fulfillment in my career contributes greatly to both professional success and personal well-being.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to be authentic, work hard, and remain patient throughout their careers. Success does not always happen immediately, and it may take time for the right people to recognize your dedication and contributions. Stay committed to your goals, trust the process, and continue delivering your best work.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges in healthcare project management is the ongoing delay in hospital construction caused by labor shortages and rising material costs, which can significantly affect project timelines and operational readiness. At the same time, one of the greatest opportunities is helping bring new healthcare facilities to life, expanding access to quality care and creating a lasting positive impact on patients, healthcare providers, and the communities they serve.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are persistence, perseverance, and empathy. Persistence helps me overcome challenges and stay focused on achieving meaningful outcomes, while empathy is essential in healthcare because every decision ultimately affects patients, families, and care teams. I believe combining resilience with compassion allows me to make the greatest impact.
