Her Story

About Megan

Megan Leary is a seasoned real estate professional with 13 years of experience serving clients in the competitive Pacific Northwest market. She entered the real estate industry after a friend encouraged her to pursue a career that offered greater interaction with people and greater flexibility than title work. Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from California Lutheran University, an educational background that has strengthened her ability to understand and connect with people. Her earlier career included roles in behavioral intervention, psychosocial rehabilitation, and operations, giving her a well-rounded foundation in communication, customer service, and leadership.

As a top-producing real estate agent, Megan has built her career through creativity, determination, and a willingness to turn ideas into action. She is currently founding the Collective Real Estate Network, an initiative designed to bring the real estate community together while providing new agents with stronger systems, training, and support to help them build sustainable careers. Megan is also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and recently moved her office into its building, further strengthening her connection to the local business community.

Megan attributes her success to her creative mindset and ability to quickly map out ideas and take decisive action. She is passionate about helping others succeed and believes that real estate requires genuine commitment and dedication rather than being treated as a hobby. In a field that can be particularly male-dominated, Megan encourages women entering real estate to be assertive, make their voices heard, and confidently pursue their goals. Above all, she values being genuine and honest in both her professional and personal life.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Megan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my creativity, willingness to turn ideas into action, and ability to pivot when needed.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to map out my ideas, take action, and simply “just do it” rather than waiting until I feel completely ready.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women entering the industry to be assertive, speak up, and make their voices heard, especially when working in a traditionally male-dominated field.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in real estate is that the industry can feel lonely despite being surrounded by people. It requires significant dedication and commitment, as it is not a hobby career. In a male-dominated environment, particularly in my area, I believe women have an opportunity to make their voices heard by being confident and assertive.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value being genuine and honest in both my professional and personal life, as I believe authenticity and integrity are essential to building trust and meaningful relationships.
