About Megan

Megan Lomax is a teaching artist specializing in arts education. With five years in the field and four years in her current position, she creates and leads after-school vocal music programs centered on social-emotional learning and community building. Participants engage in project-based learning that culminates in an end-of-year salon showcase. Megan earned her degree in musical theater from DeSales University and holds a certificate in nonprofit leadership completed last winter. Her notable achievements include a Broadway debut in a production that received seven Tony nominations and a New York Times critic's pick for the show No Good Deed. She maintains professional affiliations with the New York City Arts Education Roundtable and holds contracts with the Bronx Academy of Letters and Harlem Children's Zone, where she serves as an activity specialist. All of her roles involve work with nonprofit organizations.
