Her Interview

Ten minutes with Megan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to consistency, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to people. Throughout my career in recruiting and healthcare, I’ve focused on building scalable systems while keeping the human experience at the center.

For me, sustainable success comes from doing the right things over time, staying open to change, and surrounding yourself with strong leaders who challenge your thinking. I’ve been fortunate to learn from leaders who model clarity and integrity, which has influenced how I approach my work and decision-making.

I’ve also been willing to step into opportunities before feeling fully ready, trusting that growth happens in real time. That mindset, combined with the values instilled in me by my parents: respect, accountability, and a strong work ethic, continues to guide how I approach my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received is that your reputation follows you longer than any job title ever will. Titles may change, but how you approach your work and how you treat people leaves a lasting impression.

That advice shifted my mindset early in my career. It pushed me to focus less on titles or progression and more on consistency, reliability, and the quality of my work. It’s something I’ve carried with me in every role, knowing that your reputation is built over time through everyday actions, not just major milestones.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have the confidence to know you belong in the room. Don’t second-guess your role or feel the need to over-explain or soften your voice. Be clear, direct, and intentional in your approach, focusing your energy on the work that aligns with your goals and long-term growth.

That clarity builds trust and credibility with the people around you. Over time, those relationships become a key part of your growth and will shape your career in ways you can’t always predict.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The demand for home-based care continues to grow, driven by an aging population and a shift toward delivering more complex care outside of traditional healthcare settings. One of the biggest challenges is keeping pace with that demand while maintaining quality and consistency, particularly as the need for skilled clinicians continues to increase.

At the same time, this creates a significant opportunity. There is a growing focus on how we support and retain clinicians, improve care coordination, and use technology more effectively to reduce administrative burden and allow providers to focus on patient care.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

At the core of both my work and personal life is a strong sense of responsibility to others. I value being dependable, treating people with respect, and following through on what I say I will do. Those are non-negotiables for me and guide how I build relationships and make decisions.

I also care deeply about growth, not just in performance, but in how people develop over time. I’m passionate about meeting people where they are, recognizing their strengths, and helping them build confidence in their abilities.

Being present is equally important to me. I try to be intentional with my time and energy, making sure I’m focused on what matters most in both my work and personal life. For me, success is not just about outcomes, but about how you get there and the impact you have along the way.
