01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Always take chances and go for it. Even if you feel like you are the smallest person in the room, or are the least accomplished, always put yourself out there, introduce yourself, network as much as you can, and just take chances. Because the worst thing somebody can tell you is no.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges right now is probably the salary gap in so many areas. The pay scale is very skewed depending on where you are. Now you have to have a master's degree but the pay scale isn't quite there yet. Plenty of opportunities as the profession is expanding everywhere - high schools, professional level, civil service, police departments, emergency care, military, industrial clinics, physician extender role.
