What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a mix of tenacity, curiosity, and a deep commitment to growth. After spending 10 years in healthcare HR roles, I made the intentional leap into the employee benefits space as an Account Executive at Alera Group. It’s been a shift—from internal support to external strategy—but one that aligns with my passion for helping organizations manage healthcare costs more effectively. Stepping out of my comfort zone has challenged me to become a learner again, and while that can be humbling, I believe that’s exactly where growth begins.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is, “Don’t wait until you’re ready—just start.” It’s easy to believe we need to check every box before making a move, but some of the most meaningful steps in my career happened when I chose to bet on myself before having all the answers. Progress doesn’t require perfection—just the courage to begin.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to trust that confidence can be built along the way—sometimes you have to “fake it until you make it.” The more you step into spaces with intention, the more naturally you grow into the leader you’re meant to be. Focus not just on your role, but on who you are holistically. Be open, communicate honestly, and don’t be afraid to share your personal experiences—because leadership isn’t just about what you do, it’s about how you show up.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in the insurance and employee benefits space right now is the broader economic climate. Rising healthcare costs, inflation, and the overall cost of living are putting real pressure on both employers and employees. Organizations are looking for strategic, cost-effective benefit solutions that not only manage expenses but also support employee well-being and retention. This creates an important opportunity to rethink traditional benefit models and deliver smarter, more sustainable options that align with both business goals and people’s real-life needs.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity and resilience are the values that guide every aspect of my work and life. As a Certified Professional Coach with a background in Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship, my goal has always been to empower others—whether through one-on-one coaching or strategic benefits consulting. In both healthcare and now employee benefits, I recognize the deep trust people place in you when sharing sensitive, often life-impacting information, and I take that responsibility seriously. Resilience has also been a personal anchor for me; navigating family health issues and fertility challenges has taught me the importance of showing up with strength, empathy, and purpose—even when things are tough.
