Her career began in recreation supervision and quickly evolved through leadership positions at prestigious properties, including The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District, Renaissance Hotels, and Universal Orlando Resort. Meghan has a proven track record of overseeing complex food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service, and fostering team collaboration at every level.
One of Meghan’s most notable achievements was opening a luxury hotel in Savannah, Georgia, in 2020 during the challenging circumstances of the pandemic. She led her team hands-on, assisting at the register and overseeing daily operations, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Her leadership style emphasizes teamwork, mentorship, and creating memorable experiences for every guest, a commitment that has earned her recognition within the hospitality industry.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Meghan is passionate about continuous growth and excellence. She holds ServSafe Certification and previously earned her Certified Pool & Spa Operator credentials, reflecting her broad expertise in hospitality management. What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to dedication, adaptability, and a genuine passion for hospitality. My journey began as a lifeguard supervisor, and over the years I have had the privilege of growing into leadership roles, including overseeing operations at the JW Marriott in Orlando. One of my proudest accomplishments was opening a luxury hotel in Savannah, Georgia, in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, where I worked alongside my team daily, even assisting at the register to ensure smooth operations. In addition to managing food and beverage services, I was honored to be featured in a women’s leadership publication that same year, recognizing the resilience and teamwork that define my approach to success.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to not be afraid afraid to take risks, to make mistakes, or to step outside my comfort zone. Growth happens when you face challenges head-on, and I’ve learned that confidence and courage often open the doors to the greatest opportunities.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To be able to get her story out there to show other women they can accomplish anything
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in the hospitality industry right now is the ability to create meaningful, memorable experiences for guests. For me, the challenge and reward go hand in hand I want to make sure I’m always part of someone’s story by providing exceptional service and making each guest feel valued and happy. It’s about going beyond expectations and turning every interaction into a lasting positive impression.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, dedication, and staying active both physically and mentally. I prioritize health and wellness through activities like skateboarding, going to the gym, and walking, which help me stay energized and focused. These practices reflect my broader commitment to perseverance, consistency, and enjoying life while giving my best in everything I do.
