Ten minutes with Meghan

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be yourself and don't try to be someone else because it becomes too tiring to maintain. Don't make yourself small and know your worth. Advocate for yourself and ask for what you deserve, like pay raises, because women are already underpaid. Constantly ask questions and don't follow the status quo.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Funding is the biggest challenge due to the tough political climate and grant dollars in arrears. Opportunity is to work better together strategically for sustainable models, as the funding crisis forces institutions to become more efficient.
