Her Story

About Meghan

Meghan ONeal serves as an Organ Preservation Specialist, a role she has held for approximately two and a half years. A licensed paramedic since 2014, she began her career path after graduating from EMT school in 2013 and excelling in paramedic school, where she received the Director's Award for her class. Her professional journey includes work in ambulance 911 response, holistic medicine, nuclear medicine, pediatric emergency rooms, transfer centers, and doctor's offices before transitioning into organ preservation. Meghan is noted by colleagues for her ability to recognize potential issues before they arise and for her foresight in healthcare settings. She is currently completing her bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Administration, with an expected completion in September. Meghan attributes her success and motivation to push beyond her comfort zone to her daughter, whom she strives to serve as a role model. She also participates with her church in supporting the One More Child nonprofit, which aids children in foster care.

Ten minutes with Meghan

01What do you attribute your success to?

My daughter. She is a force to be reckoned with, and I want to be a role model for her, which pushes me past my comfort zone.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't let age stop you from pursuing education or new careers. In 2, 5, or 10 years, you'll be that age anyway - do you want the degree and experience or not?
