Meghan Schulze is an emerging leader in construction project management known for her collaborative approach, organizational strength, and passion for building high-performing teams. She currently serves as an Assistant Project Manager at CSL Consulting LLC, where she has worked for nearly four years since graduating from Bryant University. As her first role out of college, the experience has provided Meghan with the opportunity to support clients through every phase of design and construction while developing expertise in project coordination, stakeholder communication, and team leadership. She is recognized for bringing positivity, structure, and a solutions-oriented mindset to every project she supports.
Meghan’s path into the construction industry began unexpectedly during her time at Bryant University while leading a student entrepreneurial organization on campus. While working to develop a student-run restaurant concept designed to give students hands-on business experience, she became deeply involved in the design and construction project management process. Although she did not graduate with a construction management degree, Meghan embraced the challenge of learning the technical aspects of the industry through experience, mentorship, and collaboration. She credits much of her success to strong communication skills, effective teamwork, and her ability to create organized and collaborative environments where teams can thrive. Her passion for leadership, problem solving, and relationship building has become a defining part of her professional identity.
One of Meghan’s proudest accomplishments was helping lead her first construction project from start to finish: a women-centered community organization facility that officially opened in late 2024. Seeing the excitement and impact the completed space created for the community reinforced her passion for meaningful, mission-driven work. In addition to her project management responsibilities, Meghan is passionate about mentoring and supporting women entering the construction and project management industries. Early in her career, she has already begun guiding students and aspiring professionals who are exploring the field, and she hopes to continue expanding mentorship as part of her long-term personal and professional mission. Through her leadership, encouragement, and dedication to collaboration, Meghan is committed to helping others discover their path and achieve success in their careers.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I would say a lot of my coaches and teachers from high school started this, to really push me along, and I've developed a few mentors along the way throughout college that just really helped me find my career path and kind of find my leadership style. So various mentors throughout, mostly college and a little bit after, have been instrumental in my success. They've guided me and supported me as I've navigated my career journey and helped me become the leader I am today.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say I'm in a male-dominated industry, so I would say just go in with confidence. Don't be afraid of your answers. Just trust what you're doing, trust that you know what you're doing, and don't be afraid to walk into any room. Confidence is key in this field, and you need to believe in yourself and your abilities even when you're surrounded by men. Stand firm in your knowledge and don't let anyone make you second-guess yourself.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say I did not graduate with a construction management degree, so learning the technical stuff has been probably the biggest challenge, but I think that's where you can rely on your soft skills. If you can communicate well and work well within a team and run a team efficiently, you kind of learn that stuff along the way. So that's been, I guess, kind of both a challenge and an opportunity. Just making connections within the industry has been important. Everyone is super helpful, so don't be afraid to ask questions, and kind of rely on what you do know, and then the technical stuff will come after. It's about leveraging your strengths while you build up the technical knowledge you need.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I'm big on positivity, just kind of being kind to each other, working efficiently with one another, and really just keeping that team focused. Like, how do we build each other up and kind of make either the project better, or that works kind of the same in your personal life as well - how do you build other people up and develop those relationships. It's all about creating an environment where people support each other and help each other grow, whether that's on a construction project or in your personal relationships. Building people up is at the core of everything I do.
