Her Story
About Mehetabel
Mehetabel Frimpong has spent the past four years building her career in live entertainment. After starting at UCLA as a freshman handling small tasks to ensure events ran smoothly, she progressed to leadership roles by her senior year, organizing live entertainment events for 700 to 3,000 students. Since graduating in June 2026, she has taken part in the Solo Live Accelerator program supported by Live Nation, worked part-time as a buying assistant at 2nd Street Westwood, joined the Live Nation Women mentorship program, and contributed to the creative team for More Music, where she helps book talent and plan conferences for young professionals entering the music industry. One challenge she has navigated is overcoming self-doubt about her qualifications due to her youth in a field where many have decades of experience.

Ten minutes with Mehetabel
01What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being so young it's easy to get in my head and feel like maybe I'm not qualified enough because a lot of people who are doing booking have been doing it for years. It took me a while to appreciate my skills and tell myself that I am qualified while I'm still young.
