Her Interview

Ten minutes with Melani

01What do you attribute your success to?

Success is when you feel that you achieved what you were looking for, when you feel your value in what you're doing, that you feel like you're inspiring to other ones, when you feel like also you never give up on what you want. And the most important thing is where you feel comfortable and happy. That's success career for me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Never give up. As you can see, like, at the beginning, I was really like, I used to have a really good position in Peru, and then I start from zero again. And it's really hard to start from zero.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To never give up, and for me, the most important... the motivation, right? Like, if you really have a good motivation, if you really have, like, you wanna accomplish something, that's gonna be the difference between person A and B.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge for me... is the language barrier. Even though I communicate my points, this is something that I have been learning... I feel like in Spanish, which is my primary language, I can communicate efficiently.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

One of the most values is the balance to have my family. Like, you have to have, time to get, the family... the flexibility, the values that they give me. I work in a good environment with the team.
