Melanie Thomas

Melanie Thomas is President of Be Green Incorporated, where her primary role involves executive functioning alongside social media efforts to promote the company's product. She joined the two-person firm, with her husband as CEO, to help market and rename the original PruneMaster product to Retain, an organic spray made with oregano oil that cleans, sanitizes, and lubricates pruning tools without causing rust. Prior to this, Thomas worked in a jewelry store and pursued professional landscape photography after serving 10 years in the Navy. She earned an associate's degree in graphic arts, which now informs her advertising and computer skills in growing the business. Under her guidance, the company achieved a 4,000 percent sales increase and expanded into 24-inch stores along with small nurseries and novelty shops. Thomas and her husband financially supported the venture until it became stable, and she continues to back food banks and missions in California that distribute food to families.
