Her Story
About Melannie
Our office handles personal injury claims, whether against an individual, company, or your insurance company. The department that I am in takes care of processing the client settlements as well as any weekly workers compensation claims. I work as support for the office manager.
Additionally, the founder of the law office also owns and rents out commercial properties. The property manager and I work closely to ensure that maintenance needs are taken care of, vacancies are being advertised, rents are being collected and our tenants are happy.

01What do you attribute your success to?
A strong desire to improve my life circumstances and constantly learn.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something. They are using their own fears against you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find something that you are passionate about and chase it.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe the biggest challenges are finding a company that you are proud to be a part of and in return values you and what you bring to the table. However, I believe that the culture in professional office settings are getting better at focusing on the quality of life for the individuals.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my work life, as well as my personal life I find honesty to be of utmost importance. I also believe that being yourself and not changing to become a copy of what they want people want you to be is fundamental to taking care of your mental health and making sure that you are comfortable in your own skin, at home and at work.
