Q

What do you attribute your success to?

To be honest, I think my Colombian background really relates to this. I come from a culture where women aren't expected to get that far career-wise - it's like, even if you do have a job or you're successful, eventually you'll get married, have kids, and that's it. The husband is the one that's going to get far. But that's never been my thought process. I've always been someone that has wanted to go far career-wise and for personal growth. I've always had that emotional intelligence and a natural drive and want to be a leader. That's been really essential in helping me get where I am, especially being pretty young. It's helped me understand how to manage a team, how to coach through challenges, and create an environment where people feel supported and motivated to perform at their best. I strongly believe in leading with transparency, accountability, and empathy. The place where you work is also very important - surrounding yourself in an environment where you feel comfortable to have that growth. Where I work, I definitely have the support to get to that point. I have really strong, powerful leaders around me. My VP of Customer Success always says the best leaders are the ones that are creating leaders. You're not really succeeding in your role if you're not creating someone to succeed you, because you're always supposed to be wanting to keep growing. When I was younger, just a regular account manager, I just wanted to be the best, and that's it. But I learned pretty quickly that I need to also help others be their best version of themselves, because that's going to help me keep going and keep getting better.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is that great leaders create other leaders, and if you want to continue growing, you need to develop someone who can eventually succeed you.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunity in my field is using health tech and revenue cycle management to expand home care services to underserved populations, including seniors and veterans. The main challenge lies in navigating complex government payer programs and maintaining compliance while ensuring agencies receive timely and accurate cash flow.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are transparency, accountability, empathy, and fostering environments that support professional growth and leadership development.
