Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of experience, mentorship, and a commitment to teamwork. Over the past 15 years, I have built my career in sales and customer service, beginning with a decade at Publix where I developed strong front-facing customer service skills, followed by a year at Geico, where I gained valuable training in retention and growth strategies. My transition into sales and eventually management has allowed me to lead a team of nine representatives at Palm Medical Centers, fostering a culture where everyone feels supported and motivated to grow. I credit much of my leadership development to the guidance I received through pastoral mentorship and three years of study at the Bible Institute, which have kept me grounded and shaped my approach to leading with empathy, integrity, and purpose.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received comes from my current CEO, who has instilled four core values that guide our work: do your job, help someone else do their job, help someone learn something new, and have fun. These principles have taught me the importance of loving what you do and approaching your work with passion. I constantly refer back to these values, as they not only drive success but also create a positive and supportive environment for everyone on the team.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay committed, invest in your growth, and never underestimate the power of relationships. Success isn’t just about personal achievements; it’s also about lifting others along the way. Treat others as you would want to be treated, recognize and support your team even when you receive recognition, and give your best even in challenging situations. Embracing selflessness, persistence, and humility will not only help you thrive professionally but also create a positive impact on those around you, because pride alone doesn’t lead to success, but dedication and collaboration do.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is managing financial resources, as growth and opportunities often require capital. Learning to build and leverage that capital while pacing yourself knowing when to walk before you can run is essential. At the same time, this presents an opportunity to develop patience, resilience, and a deeper appreciation for the process, which ultimately strengthens both personal and professional growth.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are excellence, accountability, integrity, and trust. I strive to embody these principles in everything I do and make it a priority to instill them while managing my team of nine, creating a culture where everyone feels supported, empowered, and motivated to succeed.
