About Melissa
She is an accomplished multimedia producer, video editor, and photographer with over two decades of experience in visual storytelling across the humanitarian, research, and creative sectors. Currently serving as Multimedia Producer, Video Editor, and Photographer at Catholic Relief Services, she produces compelling visual content for an international humanitarian aid organization. She also owns and manages 9s Studios, a creative studio and gallery space in Easton, Maryland, where she curates four art exhibits annually and supports two women-owned creative businesses. Her career includes serving as Media Production Specialist at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), where she produced visual content for global research initiatives, and as Video Editor for the Global Partnership for Education. She has also worked as a Freelance Photographer for New Hampshire Business Review. She holds a Master's degree in Film Directing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism-Photojournalism from the University of Minnesota. She is recognized as a creative, technically skilled, and socially conscious visual storyteller who combines artistic vision with a deep commitment to amplifying important stories and fostering community engagement through the arts.
