Melissa Kozak

Melissa Kozak is an Independent BCBA based in Sacramento, California. With 20 years of experience working with children with autism and their families, she founded her own business in 2024 to focus on caregiver-led ABA therapy. Kozak emphasizes supporting the family unit as a whole by addressing functional concerns such as toilet training, sleep support, transitions, advocacy, behavior reduction, and safety skills. She holds a BA in Psychology and a Master's in special education from California State University, Sacramento. As an independent practitioner, she contracts directly with insurance companies when desired and selects the populations and business model that align with her mission of empowering parents. Kozak also provides parent coaching through her work with City of Refuge, which offers temporary housing for women who have experienced trauma, and with other local nonprofits.
