Melissa Lopez

Melissa Lopez founded Bilingual FI Solutions, LLC in 2018 after being inspired by her work as an interpreter during a child sexual abuse interrogation. As a certified forensic interviewer, she contracts with child advocacy centers and organizations such as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to conduct bilingual forensic interviews. She also provides trauma-informed translations and interpretations, recently completing a project for Gaston County Child Advocacy Center on community education materials about internet safety and child sexual abuse. Originally from Venezuela, Lopez works full-time as a care manager supporting individuals facing addiction, autism, and suicidal or homicidal ideation while pursuing her criminal justice degree. Her path reflects resilience, having transitioned from being a stay-at-home mom to building her business without an initial college degree, driven by her faith and a commitment to helping children who have experienced trauma.
