Melissa Mattes

She is an accomplished lighting design and interior architecture professional with over a decade of experience in integrated lighting design and project management, currently serving as Associate and DC Studio Manager at Sladen Feinstein Integrated Lighting Inc., where she leads studio operations and manages lighting design projects. She also serves as Faculty at Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Education (RISD|CE), sharing her expertise with the next generation of design professionals. She holds a Master of Arts in Interior Architecture from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Sociology from Anderson University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She is recognized as a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative design leader who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for education and mentorship.
