Melissa P. is a seasoned security and law enforcement professional with over 15 years of experience in public safety, corporate security, and leadership. Currently serving as a Security Branch General Manager in Orlando, Florida, she oversees operations, client relations, and personnel management with a strong focus on professionalism, accountability, and team development. Her extensive background includes roles as Director of Security, Public Safety Manager, and Corporate Security Specialist, where she successfully led teams, improved key performance metrics, and strengthened client partnerships across multiple sectors.

Before entering management, Melissa served as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, where she developed deep expertise in areas such as domestic violence response, homeland security, case preparation, and law enforcement instruction. Her credentials include Florida security licenses “D,” “G,” and “DI” (Instructor), as well as certification as an NRA Instructor. She has also completed advanced firearms, defensive/offensive driving, and active shooter response training. In addition to her professional achievements, Melissa is a graduate of the police academy—where she was the only woman in her class to complete the program.

My advice to young women entering this industry is to maintain your standards, stay true to your values, and keep pushing forward no matter the obstacles.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, perseverance, and balance—and when I’m not working, I enjoy driving my 1949 car, antique shopping, listening to old music, exploring new restaurants, and traveling to new places.
